Bought my present car from here and I'll get my next one from here too. No salespeople bothering you whilst browsing, if interested in a car just let them know and they are really helpful, but not pushy. Can't fault the service at all, from looking to actually driving off in your new car.

I've had a horrible experience with FOW. I got my car over 2 weeks ago, on the friday. Drove home and 3 major warning lights came on. Contacted the 24/7 contact team to report it and find out what to do. Was told that I should get a call at 9am Saturday and it had been logged as an urgent request. The call didn't come, so I called them. Was told to call the Manchester branch at 10 when they opened. Called at 10; aftersales weren't in, told I would have to speak to the manager who was in a meeting (first chance for an apology, none given). Got a call back at 10:45 and was asked to take my car in, I had plans but was told I had to take it that day or it wouldn't be seen til Monday. So I said I would need a courtesy car. Told they didn't have any. I drove it in, asked behind reception if there was a possibility of taking it home that day, and if it was worth waiting. Rather than asking a mechanic, she said "I don't know, I'm not a mechanic" so as I was already missing my plans for the day through no fault of my own (no apology by the way) my boyfriend set off driving us home, half way down the motorway, I got a call "there's nothing wrong, it's a blip can you come back for it" - I obviously couldn't turn round on the motorway and was already missing my plans so said I would go the next day (still no apology). So my boyfriend took my back Sunday afternoon to collect it. I eventually got an apology and a handshake. Drove home only to find on the Monday morning that the same warning lights reappeared (check engine, traction control and tyre pressure). So I got a call on the Monday morning at 9:35 following up on my URGENT call I logged on the Friday (2 trips to Manchester later), so I explained the problem and was asked to drive the car in, but told there were no courtesy cars!!!! I then got a call from the manager who arranged a courtesy car, was very apologetic and arranged to drop said car off on the Tue morning, and took mine back to Manchester, which they did. I was also promised a full tank of petrol, and that he had seen emails flying round which he was very unimpressed with (heaven knows what they said). No further correspondence were heard until the Wednesday when I was told that my car needed to go to the Citroen garage, but could only go in 8 days later... So I wait... I then get a call on the Thursday of the appointment "miss Glover are you in?" I reply yes I'm at home ... "Not in the show room?" I reply no... "You were meant to have an appointment at 10:30 at the garage. I explained that was organised by fords of winsford and I wasn't told I needed to be there - "yes but you have the car..." I told him I did not have the car, they had had it for 2 weeks to which he replied "have we? Oh yeah, it's outside". I then did not hear back, I chased them and was told I would be called - no call until Friday when I was told the car needed a part so I wouldn't get it until after the weekend. I then got a call Monday evening asking me to collect it. I am now in London with work for 2 nights so asked if they could drop of off. I was told they didn't have the staff. Then got a call 10 mins later from the manager who said they needed the courtesy car back to could they collect it the next day. I was made to feel like an inconvenience for the fact my boyfriend was working and wouldn't be there to exchange it, and when he got back would be too late. We arranged a safe place to leave the keys to the car and I said "will I have a full tank of petrol?" To which he said "don't know... Were you promised one?" And i said yes, by you. Hoping that was honoured. Holding out no hope. Owned my car 18 days, driven it 3 times. Worst service I've ever had. 2 apologies throughout the whole ordeal. No notification the car had even been dropped off. Note to FOW, make notes on the system and respect your customers a little more.
